List ServicesDiscussion and distribution lists are used for efficient distribution of e-mail. Discussion lists are open to anyone with an e-mail address or can be limited to specified users. Distribution lists are limited to members of the University e-mail system.Exchange Distribution ListsMany distribution lists are available for University purposes. Students use distribution lists primarily for classes. The owner of a distribution list (such as a professor) will add or delete recipients from the list as appropriate. See the IT KnowledgeBase for instructions. The Division of IT can create custom distribution lists for University departments for a fee.Discussion ListsLISTSERV service maintains discussion lists that can include University and non-University participants. Students who also are instructors can request LISTSERV lists for their classes. Student groups request discussion lists from the Missouri Students Association at director@students.missouri.edu.
