The lease pricing method provides a fixed cost for budgeting purposes, independent of total sales. Prices include all communication and maintenance costs as well as the Division's commitment to configure the reader to provide the best solution for your needs. There are no disconnection fees. Training is also provided to help your department obtain the sales and activity information. Sales reports can be printed or e-mailed directly to any account. The cost of billing student charge sales is included in the monthly lease price.

MaxiWedge Point of Sale Terminal

The MaxiWedge is designed for large scale operations and can be equipped with pole display, product sale, bar code reader, receipt printer and cash drawer. The MaxiWedge features 174 user-definable keys and 10,000-transaction memory storage.

A power outlet and an ID port are required. ID ports are different than data ports or phones. If an ID port is needed, it must be requested in addition to the reader.

Sales and activity reports are available directly from the wedge if a printer is attached. The Division does not lease or maintain printers but can assist you in selecting a compatible model. Requests for ID scanning equipment should be submitted through the Division of IT's MyServices application.

MidiWedge Point of Sale Terminal

The ideal solution when a large reader is not required. The MidiWedge provides full product control, cash accountability, payment method flexibility and reporting capabilities. The unit's 72 keys are user-definable based on time schedules. Seven separate keyboards can be configured and downloaded for daily use. Time periods can be defined to automatically change keyboards based on time of day and day of week. The MidiWedge supports up to 10,000 price look-ups.

MiniWedge Point of Sale Terminal

Full product control, cash accountability, payment flexibility, and the ideal student charge solution for a small operation, the MiniWedge can be attached to a printer for patron receipts. The unit's 28 keys are user-definable based on time schedules. Seven separate keyboards can be configured and downloaded for daily use. Time periods can be defined to automatically change keyboards based on time of day and day of week. The MiniWedge supports up to 500 price look-ups.

Activity Reader

The Activity Reader is an economical countertop card reader that provides simple and direct access to internal privileges such as meal plan deductions, legal age, voting, etc. It can serve as a stand alone unit, or can be located near an existing cash register, allowing the cardholder debit transaction convenience. The reader's 20-key keypad features five user-definable keys which can access a combination of five credit/debit or cash tendering methods.

Copy Reader

The Copy Reader is space-saving, easily mountable, and features a swipe-through card slot. The reader tracks the number of copies made and charges the cardholder based on a predetermined per-copy price. The Copy Reader has a keypad that allows account overrides or departmental charges and can be attached to a department copier to charge copies to their student charge accounts.
