User AccountsYour PawPrintA PawPrint (also known as an SSO ID) is the ID needed to access most MU technology resources. All MU faculty, staff and students are provided with a PawPrint. Faculty/staff PawPrints are usually comprised of last name and first initial. New faculty and staff should contact their departmental IT professional to activate their PawPrint and have an e-mail account created. Student PawPrints consist of a student's initials and three random characters to ensure uniqueness. New students must activate their PawPrints before they can be used. Please refer to the Mizzou IT PawPrint information
Your PasswordManage Your PasswordManage your password any time with the Three Questions Password Manager. These three security questions will allow you to change a password or reset a forgotten one.Forgotten PasswordsIf you forget your password, you will need to create a new one using the PawPrint Password Reset tool. The Reset tool will ask you for the answers to your three security questions. If you answer correctly, you can create your new password. MU students should use the myZou system to reset passwords.Changing PasswordsTo change a password, use the Password Manager tool. You will need to know your old password to change it. If you've forgotten your password, you will have to use the Reset tool as described above.Resource Account PasswordsIf you are the owner of any resource accounts, use the Resource Account Password Manager tool to change your password(s). Note: use your personal PawPrint (not resource account name) to log in to this tool.Choosing a Good PasswordChoose a password that is easily memorized and hard to guess, and never share it with anyone. An easy way to choose a complicated, but easy to remember, password is to think of a phrase, song, poem or sentence and use the first letter from each word. For example: "Christmas is on the 25th of December." = "Xms25thoD." "I have owned my dog for 5 years!" = "Ihomdf5y!" To ensure complexity, all passwords must have eight to 26 characters and include at least one character from at least three of the following:
