MeetingPlace Audio and Web Conferencing
Now available! MeetingPlace Conferencing (MPC) is both an audio and Web conferencing service that can be used separately or together. This conferencing service features the ability to:
- Automatically schedule MPC resources and conference attendees via the Web interface or from Microsoft Outlook (MPC Outlook plugin required).
- Use Web conferencing to present or collaborate live by sharing your desktop or specific documents (MPC presenter plugin required).
- Record meetings for later playback or for archival.
To get started using MPC, visit our questions and answers page.
MPC does not support videoconferencing. See our videoconferencing service page if you require these services.
Fees
MPC charges are comprised of several elements. You do not have to use the Web conferencing services to hold an audio conference. Additionally, you need to decide whether you want the conference participants to connect using the MPC toll-free service. You should not advertise the toll-free number unless you want participants to use it.
Billing is based on the number of scheduled ports or the number of actual participants, whichever is higher. Charges may be incurred for conferences not cancelled within 48 hours.
Audio Conferencing
- $10 per hour for blocks of five participants. 1 to 5 participants is $10 per hour. 6 to 10 participants incur an additional $10 per hour charge. Customers will be billed for the total number of participants on the conference.
- There is no per minute audio charge except for participants who use the toll-free number.
- Toll-free is billed at five cents per minute.
Web Conferencing
- $15 per hour for blocks of 10 participants. 1 to 10 participants is $15 per hour. 11 to 20 participants incur an additional $15 per hour charge. Customers will be billed for the total number of participants on the conference.
- There is no per minute web charge.
Recording
- Audio conferencing files can be provided in Windows Media Audio (WMA) format after conferences are completed. There is no charge for this service.
- Web conferences can be recorded and archived but are purged after 14 days.
Availability
MPC accounts will be assigned to a specific scheduler within each division, department or unit. Scheduler accounts can be obtained by submitting an account request or by calling (573) 882-2000.
