The Recommended Path through the Dreamweaver 8 Series Introduction to HTML 5 & CSS

Following the Introduction to HTML 5 & CSS class, you may take the Dreamweaver series of classes, which must be taken in order.

The series begins with Getting Started, Images & Links; followed by Introduction to CSS; Tables, Templates & Rollovers; and finally CSS Projects & Publishing.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Explore the Workspace
  • Plan and Define a Website
  • Create a Web Page
  • Import Text
  • Set Page Properties
  • Place Images
  • Create Image Maps
  • Modify Image Properties
  • Insert Background Images
  • Create Links and Link States
  • Apply CSS Styles to Link States

Prerequisites: Introduction to HTML 5 & CSS

RegisterDreamweaver 2: Introduction to CSS

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Format Text and Special Characters
  • Create a List
  • Identify Some Advantages of CSS
  • Format Text using CSS
  • Create a CSS Style Sheet
  • Create page layout using CSS

Prerequisites: Dreamweaver 1: Getting Started, Images & Links

RegisterDreamweaver 3: Tables, Templates & Movies

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Insert a Table
  • Format a Table
  • Utilize Library Items
  • Create Page Templates
  • Add Keywords and Descriptions to a Page
  • Include Windows Media and QuickTime Files Use Widgets

Prerequisites: Dreamweaver 2: Introduction to CSS

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Create Spry widgets
  • Edit Spry widgets
  • Insert AP Elements
  • Manipulate AP Elements
  • Publish a Website
