The IT Pro Training program is dedicated to providing the University of Missouri-Columbia campus and community with the best resources available to assist with high-end technical training and improvement. This site includes information about the technology training provided by IT Pro Training, as well as links to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) certification sites and interest groups that will keep you informed of the latest news with regard to IT training and certification.

Microsoft IT Academy

The Microsoft IT Academy is an online IT training/learning program. Access is provided by IT Pro Training for the faculty, staff and students of the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. For additional information and registration, please see the Microsoft IT Academy page.

Please click the course title for a complete description. For registration instructions and course policies, please visit the enrollment page. NOTE: Enrollments for IT Pro Training classes will close 10 business days prior to the training to ensure that the training vendor has time to secure sufficient resources for the class.

NOTE: For classes that begin on Mondays, the first day of class usually begins at 10 a.m. Subsequent days usually begin promptly at 8 a.m. Course location varies, but is usually on the MU campus.

Training Locations

Most IT Pro Training classes are held in the Heinkel Building.

226 Heinkel

The Heinkel Building is located at 201 S. 7th Street. Metered parking is available on the street, in the University lot behind the building, and in the City parking garage located at the corner of 6th and Locust.

The main entrance on the east side of the building. The training room is located just to the left of the main staircase to the first floor.

Certification Testing

Computer-Based Testing administers all technical certifications for MU faculty, staff and students in their facility located in 207 Parker Hall. All exams are offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday, subject to space availability.

You may register for an exam online at http://www.vue.com/, or you may call the Computer-Based Testing center at (573)884-0911 to schedule your exam time. Registration must be made 24 hours in advance of your desired exam time. Online registration deadlines is governed by VUE, and no exceptions can be made.

207 Parker Hall

Parker Hall is located on 6th Street, just north of the Engineering East building and just south of McAlester Hall. Metered parking is available on the various side streets to the west and south of the building.

There are entrances on all sides of Parker Hall; the south entrance does not require the use of stairs. Halfway down the main corridor from the south entrance, there is an elevator; take it to the second floor. Room 207 is at the north end of the hallway.
